FAQs
I know it feels scary to trust someone with your deepest, darkest worries. Hopefully learning about how my practice works will alleviate some of your concerns.
Telehealth
I have offered telehealth exclusively since COVID. My patients have found doing telehealth allows for more freedom. You can meet with me during lunch in your office, wearing PJs in your bedroom closet or drinking Starbucks on a park bench. As long as you are physically in DE or PA, and you are in a private space, I can see you. And yes, my portal is HIPPA compliant, and our session will be confidential.
Billing, Insurance & Fees
I am considered an out of network provider. 90% of my patients submit the paperwork I give them to their insurance for reimbursement. I can tell you exactly what to ask your insurance company to find out how much my sessions will cost you. My fees are:

$225 - Initial Consultation - 60 minutes
$175 - Individual Session -50 minutes
$200 - Individual Session - 60 minutes
$200 - Couples Session - 60 minutes

Nuts & Bolts
I need to be honest. Because of the gravity of your situation, counseling will last much longer than 6 weeks. Most of my patients remain with me for about a year - sometimes longer. It is important to me that we click. I will become your co-pilot; you won't be alone on this next stretch of your journey.
My patients say therapy with me is like talking with an old friend, except that I am going to ask you to do REALLY hard work. Together, we'll do a deep dive, exploring your thoughts and feelings. I am going to teach you coping skills and techniques to help you process the gravity of what you have been though. Together we'll combat your inner critic and you will learn how to live again. You might feel exhausted, but you will feel better.
Why you should partner with me
I have extensive training in all aspects of infertility counseling including POF, donor conception, recurrent loss, and embryo testing. I see therapy through a trauma lens, and I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and ACT with a hefty dose of mindfulness in working with infertility, difficult pregnancies and pregnancy and baby loss. I also bring to the table two decades of training in perinatal loss and bereavement. My special areas of interest include later life parenting, IVF with and without donors, high-risk pregnancy, early miscarriage, recurrent loss, second trimester loss, stillbirth, SIDS, adoption consideration and the crazy amount of stress, anxiety and depression that stems from those issues. If you identify as LGBTQA+, I have a family member that does too, and I am much more than a proud ally.
